Another ALPHA 10 GT-R is born.

Jeff’s 2010 GT-R was amongst that group and he was getting quite the treatment… an ALPHA 10 Package to be exact. Jeff like every customer had some special goals. He wanted great 0-60 times, gobs of torque and 1000whp if ever the situation called for it. The ALPHA 10 was the obvious choice.

Jeff told us up front that he was rarely going to see race gas so big power on pump was a must. We put together a tried and true package consisting of:

ALPHA 10 turbo kit
ALPHA 3.8 Race engine
ALPHA cylinder head package with ALPHA Camshafts
ALPHA Induction kit and front mount intercooler
ALPHA fuel system
ALPHA fuel rail kit with Fuel pressure regulator
ID2000 CC injectors
ALPHA ported throttle body service
Dodson/ Exedy Sportsman Clutch and full transmission build by ShepTrans

Final numbers:

93 Octane pump gas: 834 whp and 676 Ft / lbs of torque
MS109E unleaded race gas: 1013whp and 832 ft/ lbs of torque

TOPSPEED MOTORSPORTS GT-R WINS 2011 ONE LAP OF AMERICA WITH THE AMS ALPHA 9 PACKAGE

TOPSPEED MOTORSPORTS GT-R WINS 2011 ONE LAP OF AMERICA WITH THE AMS ALPHA 9 PACKAGE

Imagine a team of two traveling over 3500 miles to race 9 events in eight days at some of the most demanding road courses of the eastern and Midwest United States. Throw in a drag race event midway through the competition along with a wet and dry skid pad event to kick off and end it all and you’d think you’d already have a rough challenge ahead of you. Now imagine you have no transport vehicle, the whole journey would have to be traversed in your race vehicle and you have to do it all on ONE set of tires! That’s what Leh Keen and Doug Wilks had to do in their TopSpeed Motorsports GT-R along with roughly 80 other competition vehicles for a chance to win the 2011 Brock Yates’ One Lap of America.

Competition for the 2011 One Lap of America began at the Tire Rack facility in South Bend, IN on April 30, 2011. The event made its way full circle over 3500 miles throughout much of the eastern and Midwest United States and ended a little over one week later on May 5, 2011. With nine race events and two skid pad competitions, this event was a true a test of endurance for both man and machine.

AMS Nissan GT-R Track car build for a customer- Update #7

More track car updates!

One of the requests our customer asked for was a high volume fuel cell that would retain the weight distribution of the factory cell…a tall order indeed. However we love a challenge.

Here we see Justin cutting out the floorboard of the GT-R to make room for our new carbon fiber saddle fuel cell we are making. It should be pretty wild when we are all done
