Recently we took our updated ALPHA 12 to the track to do some more testing. As of recent, the limits of the factory block had been reached and our engineers went to work to devise a new way of reinforcing the engine. To prove our new method, we knew we had to put the updated ALPHA 12 package through a series of Grueling tests. The car was placed on the dyno for over three hours in 100 plus degree heat where it produced over 1300whp at 35 psi of boost.

Upon completion of dyno testing we took the car to our local drag strip where the weather was not much more favorable. Scorching sun, 90 degree track temps, a density altitude of 2745 and high humidity proved to produce very slick conditions. As many of you know we have been working the VR38 motor program with the recent issues of the Nissan block cracking under extreme HP / Cylinder pressures . Our engineers and technicians have been hard at work and developed a new way to reinforce the block. We wanted to test this new theory and really put the car through its paces. The only way we know how to do that is to abuse it on the dyno and the track!

Last night we strapped the revised ALPHA 12 package to the dyno. The test vehicle was our own 2009 Nissan GT-R. Chris began tuning and the numbers just kept getting higher and higher. The final result was a Whopping 1318WHP at only 35 psi of boost! Read more…

We got an email yesterday from our friend Paul Dziubek of www.Materialmordshop.de or www.amsperformance.de. He sent us pictures of his drag car reconstruction and we were blown away. Quite possibly the nicest looking drag car!

Paul’s plans and goals are not modest at all. In short he wants the record! The current 1/4 Mile ET record is set by STM at 8.34 seconds.

This Summer AMS will be working with the LSx platform We we have acquired a C6 Z06 to begin with but other products for other platforms will follow. One of the major endeavors on this car will be a powerful, efficient, high quality and properly fitting turbo kit. We are confident in our ability to not only make power with the LSx but to make reliable and safe power. To help facilitate this new market for AMS performance we have acquired new staff as well. Larry Hamilton (formerly of another local LSx shop) has come on board as an account representative and is bringing 10 plus years of experience in the field. I challenge you to ask him something LSx related that he doesn’t know the answer to  In addition we have hired on another technician and fabricator to help with the new line of cars.

She is getting loaded in to the trailer now for some private testing but WOW does it look good. I am not sure what the final paint and or wrap will be but she looks pretty good now regardless
