Posted Image

While Puerto Rico might be small compared to other countries, it is the epicenter of performance cars in the Caribbean. Over the past 6 years AMS has

built a solid relationship with Predator Performance and they were one of the first companies to install our ALPHA GT-R packages when first released. Predator has a reputation for orchestrating top quality builds and their work with the ALPHA GT-R’s is no different!

1 mile and ½ mile events have been gaining popularity all over the world. In Puerto Rico they use a runway at the Rafael Hernandez Airport to host the “PR ½ Mile Event”.

AMS Alpha 12: World’s Fastest R35 GT-R

AMS Performance brought the Antigua/Barbuda Alpha 12 GT-R to the October 2011 Texas Mile in an effort to set a new world record for the fastest R35 GT-R. Even with windy and unfavorable conditions at this fall’s Mile event, the Alpha 12 owned by Andrew Hadeed of Antigua Barbuda was able to secure the title of world’s fastest R35 GT-R with a top speed of 216.9mph!

AMS would like to thank Mr. Andrew Hadeed, Mr. Habib Gebrael and Rocket Science Racing – our Alpha Dealer in Antigua, and the people of Antigua & Barbuda for their support of this build. This Alpha 12 will soon return home to your country with a new world record.

AMS Sponsored Marty Grand wins T2 2011 National Championship!

“I just want to thank AMS for all the support that helped us win our second straight SCCA T2 National Championship!!. The car ran perfectly all week and allowed our heavily restricted Evo to battle toe to toe with the 2011 5 liter Ford sponsored Mustang GT driven by Grand am cup Pro Andrew Aquilante and the Nissan sponsored 370Z driven by World Challenge Pro Tony Rivera as well as many others.  With a slightly damp track and clouds looming, we chose to go out on rain tires where most of the front runners went out on dries. Once the track dried up we slipped back a few places until the rain finally hit as we had planned. The advantage swung back in our favor and we were able to get back to the lead and the win.”

AMS Sponsored Nathan Pitcher: 929 Evo – Mid Ohio – 1st in TTA & Track Record!

Saturday:

After nearly 600 miles 10.5 hrs of driving on Friday (to Ohio via Chicago)…
Sat warmup was pretty early! I did very little to prep the car, having not even started it since I left Mid Ohio in July! After unpacking it, I adjusted the tire temps a little, slapped on the camera and that’s about it! I ran about 6 laps, each a little quicker than the last and qualified with a 1:35.0 – which was nearly as fast as I went in July; so I was excited. I was sitting 9th in grid and 2nd in class; squeezed tightly by 2 C5 Vettes. Read more…

Nathan Pitcheer 929 Evo – Autobahn – 1st in TTA!

Saturday:
I went out for the morning practice session with a passenger. I lined up with my buddy Jarrod behind me as it was his first time in TT; 2nd time at the track and I wanted to show him the lines. I ran a 1:37 and qualified 7th in grid.

I went to switch in 2 grippier tires for the first timed session, but realized an issue: Read more…

929 Evo – Gingerman – 1st in TTA and track record!

1st in TTA and new Track Record!

Saturday….
After driving up late Friday night (~6 hrs), got up Saturday, unloaded all the remaining crap inside the car, unloaded the car and did a little prep. This was the first time the car had been off the trailer since being loaded at Putnam Park May 15th! Only changes were a quick wash and I had installed a Kognition rear wing on the car since!

With the new wing set at the lowest possible angle, I lined up and ran a 1:43 for the practice session which put me #3 in grid for the entire TT group. Always strive to be in the first couple spots so I can get some clean laps right away! Read more…
